London, ON – tbk’s VP of Technology, Andre LeFort, was recently invited to speak at Fanshawe College as part of an orientation day for the school’s Interactive Media Specialist program. Andre spoke to an engaged group of students about our agency and the type of work we do for our valued clients.
Every year, Fanshawe invites industry professionals like Andre to share their real-world experience in the field. This helps prepare students for the evolving job market, giving them exposure to what they can expect by entering a career in marketing and technology.
During the presentation, Andre shared tbk’s origin story as well as our mission, vision, and values, and he explained the many services that our agency offers, including our important web accessibility work. Students were introduced to the myriad of technologies that tbk uses to create world-class websites, high-performing digital campaigns, and custom software. The session concluded with a lively Q&A session.
“I love introducing students to tbk and sharing my lifelong passion for technology with them,” says Andre. “Engaging with people who are just getting started in their careers reminds me of why I pursued this path for myself. It’s a joy to be granted the opportunity to interact with the next generation of tech talent.”
Fanshawe’s Interactive Media Specialist program provides intensive training in web technologies with an emphasis on web application design, interactive media, and emerging technologies. The curriculum covers every major aspect of the multimedia production cycle, including layout design, branding, content and asset creation, coding, and database implementation. Graduates go on to work as front-end web developers, back-end web developers, full-stack developers, web designers, programmers, producers, and more.
