London, ON – tbk has once again shown we care for our local community. For the last five years, our agency has been sponsoring The Hospital Activity Book for Children—and this year will be no different.
The Hospital Activity Book for Children has been successful for over 25 years because of the generous support from local businesses like tbk. Sponsoring businesses are given the opportunity to include well wishes to sick children and their families within the activity book.
“Thank you for your generous support in sponsoring the 5,000 activity books that we donate within the London area,” says Rita Bazinet, Sponsor Relations, The Hospital Activity Book for Children. “The kids absolutely love these books. They provide a lot of comfort for kids while they are sick.”
The Hospital Activity Book for Children began in 1995 when a publishing company noticed how important it was to keep children’s minds occupied while they were hospitalized. It is designed to help children work through their thoughts, fears, and concerns while experiencing boring, uncomfortable, or even painful situations.
Wherever kids need a healthy distraction during a challenging time, you’ll find this activity book. Its distribution has expanded over the years to include hospitals, medical service units, pediatric centres, victim service units, and other places. In our digitally connected world, it is crucial for children to have and hold such a grounding, tangible book.
The Hospital Activity Book for Children is published on an as needed basis, averaging twice per year. The activities in the book target children between the ages of 2 – 12 years old with activities ranging from connect the dot activities and colouring pages to more advanced puzzles.
