Five Globe & Mail Awards and Counting: tbk Earns Spot on Top Growing Companies List

London, ON, September 24, 2021tbk is pleased to announce it has earned a spot on the 2021 Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies. Canada’s Top Growing Companies ranks Canadian companies based on three-year revenue growth. tbk experienced a growth of 67%.

“This is an amazing testament to doing well during a pandemic,” says Melissa McInerney, CEO, tbk. “The company started during the 2008 recession, so when COVID-19 hit, we knew not to panic. Instead, we innovated, fast. tbk launched a sister business called Go Fog It to address a real need, and our team got creative to innovate our clients’ businesses with amazing digital marketing—many experienced growth beyond their 2019 numbers. The pandemic will go down in tbk’s almost 15-year company history as a formative moment.”

Many of Canada’s most prolific brands trust tbk for their web design, digital advertising, branding, and marketing software solutions. The creative agency has launched over 400 corporate website and e-commerce properties.

“Our team has worked incredibly hard to propel our business forward,” says McInerney. “We’ve been successful, and that’s had a wonderful ripple effect. When we succeed, we also advance the businesses of our valued clients—and that’s why we’re in business.”

Launched in 2019, the Canada’s Top Growing Companies editorial ranking aims to celebrate entrepreneurial achievement in Canada by identifying and amplifying the success of growth-minded, independent businesses across the country. It is a voluntary program; companies had to complete an in-depth application process in order to qualify.

The full list of 2021 winners, and accompanying editorial coverage, is published in the October issue of Report on Business magazine—out now—and online.

“As we look toward the future, Canada’s Top Growing Companies offer both inspiration and practical insights for other firms facing similar challenges,” says James Cowan, Editor of Report on Business magazine. “The entrepreneurs behind these companies are smart, tenacious and unwavering in their commitment to their goals.”

“Any business leader seeking inspiration should look no further than the 448 businesses on this year’s Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies,” says Phillip Crawley, Publisher and CEO of The Globe and Mail. “Their growth helps to make Canada a better place, and we are proud to bring their stories to our readers.”
