At tbk we engineer Canada’s best websites, digital products, platforms and experiences. tbk is adding to its team of Canada’s best with the addition of a Video Strategist.

This role reports to tbk’s CEO & Chief Creative Officer (CCO) and works alongside tbk’s talented team of account strategists, developers, creatives and digital specialists. This exciting role sees you being tbk’s first in-house video hire – with you helping build the right culture, team and work that not only continues to see our clients win, but builds one of the best video content portfolios. This is the first hire of many, so if you have big goals and want to work with the best clients and team while making your mark, reach out to us.

What you’ll do:

  • Building compelling, cool, and leading video content for tv, web, social and advertising
  • Video strategy alongside clients and internal creative / accounts team
  • Video shooting onsite across mostly Ontario, with the ability to travel for shoots
  • Video editing to create best-in-class marketing work
  • Management of external vendors required for shoots
  • Model scouting and hiring
  • Work with the digital team for ad format management
  • Review reports of video creative and make recommendations for future video
  • Prepare quotes and estimates for video work
  • Build packages and proposals for clients
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, creative ambition and dedication to the craft

Your skills and experience:

  • This person is a big picture strategist with demonstrated knowledge of how video content and other audio-visual media not only acquire audiences but keep them engaged
  • This person is also able to execute on the ground with strong personal management, team management, video shooting skills and editing skills
  • She/he is a proven leader and manager with experience in supervising and developing video talent, while encouraging a fun and positive work environment
  • Primary skills include excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, problem solving, time and project management
  • Highly self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Grace under pressure with a strong sense of collaboration
  • Passport required
  • Driver’s license required
  • Car required

If staff have large vet bills, we pay for them (75% up to $3,000 per incident) through tbk’s Molly Fund. And this past summer, tbk’s Molly Fund opened to the public where families who have a dog that requires a medical amputation surgery can apply to the Fund for financial assistance.
