As an Intermediate Social Media Strategist, you’ll be instrumental in managing and executing social media strategies for our clients. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about social media trends, community engagement, and achieving measurable results. You’ll collaborate closely with our creative and performance marketing teams to bring social campaigns to life, ensuring they align with client goals and brand voice. A local presence in London, Ontario, or the surrounding area is essential for this role, as you’ll be actively engaging with the community and attending client events.

How Will You Be Successful in This Role

Innovative Strategy Development: Continuously develop creative and high-performing social media strategies that drive engagement, align with client objectives, and set our agency apart in the market.

Client Understanding & Relationship Building: Demonstrate a deep understanding of our clients’ goals and deliver social media solutions that exceed their expectations, building strong, lasting relationships.

Community Engagement: Engage authentically with local communities and clients, showcasing our brand’s presence and commitment to supporting community initiatives.

Data-Driven Performance: Effectively measure and report on campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to optimize outcomes and meet KPIs.

Proactive Growth Identification: Identify new growth opportunities, both for clients and our agency’s social media presence, ensuring we remain ahead of industry trends and platform updates.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) to drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Create, curate, and manage content calendars that introduce new content types and formats while adhering to best practices to keep clients’ social presence dynamic.
  • Produce, curate, and oversee daily social media content (including text, images, videos, and infographics) that resonates with target audiences.
  • Engage with local communities and attend client events to capture content, foster relationships, and enhance brand presence.
  • Drive to client events across Southwestern Ontario to capture social media content, ensuring a strong presence at regional engagements.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics using analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness, providing actionable insights for optimization.
  • Regularly review and adjust social media KPIs with clients, ensuring alignment with their evolving goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to produce visually compelling content that aligns with client brand guidelines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, platform updates, and best practices to maintain cutting-edge social media strategies.
  • Conduct social media audits and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and improve client performance.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations on social media performance for clients and internal stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations as a trusted advisor.
  • Support client meetings and strategy sessions, sharing strategic insights to achieve social media objectives.
  • Maintain expertise in the latest social media tools, advertising capabilities, and analytics platforms, pursuing relevant certifications as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during social media crises, managing sensitive communications to maintain brand reputation.

Skills Required

  • 3-5 years of experience in social media strategy and management, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of social media tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for crafting engaging and on-brand social content.
  • Skilled in analyzing data and translating findings into actionable insights and creative solutions.
  • Experience with paid social media advertising and campaign optimization.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in leading creative brainstorming sessions and bringing innovative ideas to meet client needs.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for design.
  • Expertise in developing long-term social media strategies that support both brand growth and client-specific objectives.
  • Strong copywriting skills to craft compelling and on-brand messaging for social posts and campaigns.
  • Passionate about staying current with social media trends and best practices.
  • Adaptable in pivoting strategies when new trends or platforms emerge, keeping clients at the forefront of social media innovation.
  • Confident in communicating social media strategies, updates, and results to clients, aligning with their business goals.
  • Effective at managing client expectations and addressing concerns with professionalism and empathy.
